Phoebe Brown is a St. Petersburg, Florida-based film and television producer with a passion for unscripted programming. With a portfolio spanning true crime to true love, Phoebe has established herself as a versatile producer with a knack for crafting compelling stories. Her short documentaries, including 99 to 1 and The Culinary Browns, have been screened at festivals worldwide, while her film Grounded by Reality earned her the PBS/P.O.V. Award at the 2010 International Documentary Challenge at the Toronto Hot Docs Film Festival.
Over the course of her career, Phoebe has produced television series and specials for PBS, National Geographic, Disney, TLC, AMC Sundance, Cooking Channel, Vice News, ABC News and Discovery as well as branded content for corporate clients including Home Depot, KPMG and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Phoebe’s primary interest lies in championing the experiences of underrepresented groups, particularly women and girls, and fighting systemic inequities. Her recent producing credits include the award-winning short films for YA audiences JORDAN and LIMERANCE. Phoebe is in advanced production of SHUKTARA, her directorial feature debut, a documentary that follows a group of young people living with disabilities in Kolkata, India.
Phoebe earned her M.F.A in Digital Filmmaking Arts from Georgia State University and is a Southern Producers Lab Fellow.
